
Play charades — not just miming book or film titles,
but phrases like ‘Out of the frying pan and into the
fire’ or even nonsense phrases like ‘a surly wombat’.
Add some phrases that require him to visualise how to mime
emotions like regret, worry, jealousy.
Invent a new family game — ask each member of the family
what sort of things they like to play and try to invent
a game that includes all the favourite activities.
Learn to juggle with scarves as well as balls — great
hand/eye co-ordination.
Encourage her to swim and play at least one sport.
Learn some dances together.
Pick some emotions — happiness, guilt, worry, excitement,
etc and walk to show how you feel.
